These clamps secure a hose to a fitting or pull two matching pipe flanges together. The right type depends on the line, the connection, the operating pressure and the temperature.

Worm-drive clamps, also known as hose clamps, are tightened with a screw. This draws the band together and clamps the hose around a fitting.

Spring band clamps, also known as Constant Tension Clamps, use spring force to maintain pressure on the hose connection. They accommodate changes in hose diameter caused by temperature changes.

T-bolt clamps are tightened with a bolt and nut. Their wide band distributes the clamping force across the hose and is suitable for connections that require a higher or more precisely set clamping force.

V-band clamps fit around two matching flanges. When tightened, they pull the flanges together; the flange design and any seal determine whether the connection is leak-tight.

Ear clamps are crimped closed with pliers. This permanently deforms the ear, allowing the clamp to hold the hose around the fitting. The clamp must be replaced after removal.

These parts hold lines in place, for example on the chassis. They are not intended to create a leak-tight connection between two line ends.

P-clips wrap around a line and are screwed into place through their mounting hole. They keep the line away from moving parts and reduce movement and chafing.

Cable ties are tightened around a line and a suitable mounting point. Their locking mechanism holds the bundle together; choose a type suited to the temperature and load at the mounting location.

Modular line clamps consist of matching clamp elements that enclose one or more lines. They are attached to a support and keep the lines at a fixed distance from one another.

Saddle clamps press a line into a shaped seat against a mounting surface. This keeps the line in position and limits movement.

Brackets wrap around or span a line and are fixed to a mounting surface. They support and secure the line, for example on the chassis.

When replacing a part, check the line diameter, line material, connection and available mounting space. For a leak-tight connection, choose a clamp suited to the operating pressure and temperature. To secure a line to the vehicle, choose a mounting point and clamp that support the line without damaging it. Identify vehicle-specific mounting parts for a MAN TGL or TGE and a Mercedes Atego or Sprinter using the chassis number; the model name alone is not enough.
