A concrete pump is a truck with a long hydraulic arm for pouring concrete in places that are difficult to reach. Even when the concrete must be poured over a long distance or at a higher level a concrete pump is a very useful tool. By choosing a concrete pump truck, you assure yourself of a stable installation that is easy to transport and deployable on multiple sites. These trucks are frequently used in the (road) construction industry and particularly for large concrete constructions such as bridges, dams and stadiums.

A concrete pump or a concrete mixer?

A concrete pump truck is not the same as a concrete mixer. A concrete pump allows you to pump concrete directly from the mixing plant to the site, while a concrete mixer keeps the mixture homogeneous during transport from the concrete plant to the destination. However, there are also combination trucks that have a pump and a concrete mixer. This allows you to load mortar at one location, mix it in the drum during transport and pour the concrete at the right place on arrival. That way you save time and space at the construction site.
