Second-hand dry bulk truck
Dry bulk trucks for the transportation of bulk goods
A silo or dry bulk truck comes with an enclosed tank-shaped cargo space intended for transporting bulk goods or powdered loads. That way sugar, milk powder and flour can be transported easily in large quantities. Food safety is an important consideration here. For that reason some dry bulk trucks are equipped with a specific internal coating to prevent the load from directly interacting with the aluminium. In addition, a silo truck can also consist of several compartments, allowing the transport of several separate substances with only one cargo box. The load of a silo does not necessarily have to be a foodstuff. This type of truck can also be used for cement, PVC granules or any other product that can be poured loose.
Dry bulk trucks for each product
Dry bulk trucks can be unloaded in different ways. Generally you choose the type of silo that best suits the type of product being transported. We can distinguish three major categories:
- Hopper bottom: silo with several compartments that can each be unloaded separately from the bottom.
- Tipper: silo that is tilted like a tipper with one unloading opening at the rear.
- Combination: hopper that consists of one compartment and one unloading opening.
