Second-hand refrigerated semi-trailers
Refrigerated semi-trailers ensure a constant temperature during transport
Even refrigerated trailers exist in a combination system with a tractor unit and a semi-trailer. Refrigerated semi-trailers consist of an isothermal cooling box and a cooling engine. The cooling box is an insulated container that can maintain a certain temperature for a certain period of time. The cooling engine, on the other hand, can generate its own cold or heat. This way, for each kind of product the desired temperature can be blown into the loading space. A cooling box can also be divided into several compartments in which different goods can be transported at different temperatures at the same time.
Different areas of application of a refrigerated semi-trailer
The most common refrigerated vehicles have a range of -30 °C to +30 °C. Therefore, despite what its name might have you believe, the use of a refrigerated vehicle is not limited to transporting certain goods at a low temperature. In winter, for example, it is used to transport liquids that must not freeze and therefore have to maintain a constant positive temperature. The most common products for which refrigerated semi-trailers are used are, of course, food and other perishable goods. Thanks to their cooling and insulating properties, their value is preserved during transport. But even for keeping flowers fresh, refrigerated trucks are the ideal means of transport. At Braem we surely have a suitable refrigerated semi-trailer for your products in our range of used trucks.
