Second-hand tanker truck

Tankers for the transportation of fluids and gas

A tanker is a truck with a horizontal cylindrical tank that is used to transport liquids and gases. Tank trucks can vary greatly in size. Some are even thermally insulated or suitable for transporting different loads at the same time. You can also opt for a tanker semi-trailer in combination with a tow vehicle if you often transport different types of loads. If your cargo consists mainly of gases or liquids, a solid tank lorry is a very sound choice.

Different types of second-hand tanker trucks

Depending on their application and the type of liquid or gas that is being transported, we can distinguish various types of tankers. The first type are the water tankers, which are mainly used for the transportation of drinking water or as fire trucks. Tankers are also used for transporting foodstuffs such as milk, which of course goes hand in hand with strict measures regarding hygiene and food safety. A third type that occurs frequently is the gas tankers. These have special pressure tanks in which the gas can be kept liquid during transport. Finally, there are tankers for transporting fuels such as petrol or diesel, which are usually equipped with a vapour extraction system and bottom loading. In order to prevent danger to people or the environment, they also have to comply with high European safety standards. That is why it is best to always choose a tanker of a very solid and recognised brand. At Braem you will find second-hand tankers made by Renault, MAN, DAF, Scania, Volvo, Mercedes or Iveco. Here you can get hold of an inexpensive vehicle that is perfectly in line with all the current requirements in terms of (food) safety.
