Second-hand tipper semi-trailer
What is a tipper semi-trailer?
A tipper semi-trailer – also referred to as a dump truck – is equipped with a generally hydraulic mechanism that tilts the cargo box. The loading space is thus moved from a horizontal position to an inclined one, making unloading from the rear very easy. Tipper semi-trailers are mostly used in construction and the agricultural sectors, for transporting bulk goods such as sand or gravel.
The right second-hand tipper semi-trailer tipper tailored to your business
Tipper semi-trailers exist in all shapes and sizes. There are tippers with an open body or a closed loading space, others have the form of a dry bulk trailer, while for liquid loads a tipper tanker is often used. Great differences also exist in terms of maximum load capacity and the number of axles. And given the rough terrain on which loading or unloading often takes place, the choice of tyre size is important as well. All these variations have in common that the load is discharged by means of a tipping system and a tailgate. However, a tipper can sometimes even be tipped sideways. This is often done in the mining industry or for railway construction, so that unloading can take place on three sides. Depending on the ground and the type of goods to be transported, you simply choose the tipper semi-trailer that is most suitable for your business. At Braem you will find a wide choice of second-hand models!
