Easy loading and unloading with open body trucks

A truck with an open body is mainly used for the transport of indivisible goods. It is often the easiest solution for goods that are stacked, goods that exceed the dimensions of the container or goods of different heights. The open top – and sometimes open sides – make loading and unloading very simple. Moreover, trucks with an open loading body are often equipped with a crane to facilitate the process even more. Because of the convenient cargo space, they are mainly used in (road) construction.

However, open trucks can also take the form of tippers. A tipping system tilts the cargo box backwards or sideways, allowing the load to be discharged quickly and easily. This is particularly useful in construction and in the agricultural sectors, where bulk goods such as sand, grain or gravel are often transported. These are goods that are resistant to all kinds of weather so that they do not suffer any damage in the open body.
